Amanda Woodvine
Chief Executive
Amanda’s career has focused on supporting people in later life. She began in Wills and Probate law, managing estates and Powers of Attorney and regularly visiting care settings. Over the years she has taken on a range of governance responsibilities, including trustee roles with organisations promoting later-life wellbeing. In 2025 she joined the board of a national adult-education charity. She also serves as Chair of a charity that provides therapeutic activities for people living with dementia.
A licensed Talking Mats trainer, Amanda is experienced in enabling people with communication difficulties to express their views – with particular attention to identity and wellbeing in dementia care. Outside work, she volunteers as a high-school mentor and as a home-visiting supporter for families.

Kim Stringer
Director (Scotland)
Kim has worked for VfL since 2015. During that time, in addition to supporting both individuals and care caterers, she has worked on several exciting projects.
She was a member of the Care Inspectorate’s short life working group creating a comprehensive Food and Fluid resource, which is available on the Care Inspectorate’s hub.
Together with the Talking Mats team based in Stirling, she has been involved in the creation of the ‘Vegetarian and Vegan: Lifestyle, Values & Choice’ Talking Mats resource.
Based on the Scottish Health and Social Care Standards, Kim developed Quality Illustrations showing what good care for vegetarians and vegans looks like. This document has been co-badged with the Care Inspectorate.
Kim is passionate about animal welfare and about respecting people’s life choices.
In addition to her work with Vegetarian for Life Kim is also a Research Coordinator for the NRS Primary Care Research Network.
